Tamara - Director

Tamara’s love for dance started from the age of 8, when she started attending acrobatics and gymnastics which developed her flexibility, strength and balance. From this, Tamara discovered Freestyle Disco dancing, which is an incredibly fast-paced, energetic and exciting style of dance. It allowed Tamara to travel and meet people from all over the UK and abroad through attending competitions, as-well as performing in shows. Throughout Tamara's competitive career she went on to win many prestigious awards all over the UK. She is crowned Disco Kid winner x 3, Le Classique De Danse Award Winner and Outstanding Contribution to Freestyle Award Winner. She has lectured all over the UK and Norway, as-well as adjudicated at UK competitions. Along with Tamara’s dance training in ballet, contemporary, jazz and fitness, she has also studied many types of gymnastics. Tamara gained a place at the prestigious 'Bird College' in Sidcup, London. She has attained her IDTA Freestyle Associate qualification and gained distinction, as-well as obtained her Module 1 Acrobatic Arts qualification. She graduated with a First-Class Honours in BSc Sport and Exercise Science and recently completed a PGCE in Further Education specialising in Dance and Sport. Tamara's teaching experience is wide ranging, she has taught in many educational establishments including primary, middle and secondary schools, as-well as local colleges. She has worked as part of an outreach programme engaging with a range of young people within the local community. Tamara is DBS checked, fully insured and has completed her first aid and safeguarding training.
